BetterOffLine was one of forty-something start-ups to pitch their offering at the recent Plug and Play Expo in Sunnyvale. For part of the afternoon we took the floor with a live, SMS-ready demonstration of our Attendee Feed, complete with a heat-map visualization indicating popularity within a trade-show space. Attendees at the expo had the opportunity to come up and rate a virtual booth, vote it up, or reply to comments left by other users, and see a basic version of our algorithm in action. They also took a sneak peek at some of the pages that exhibitors will eventually rely on to drive traffic and track the success of event-marketing campaigns. Later in the afternoon, our CEO delivered a concise, two-minute pitch and powerpoint on what we're about.
